Subject: Help me wish Colin a happy Father's Day

Hi, John, I'm Aly, Colin's wife.

I want to make this Father's Day really special for Colin – I hope you'll give me a minute to tell you why.

Colin always says the most important job he'll ever have is being a father to our kids – that's why he was the first Congressman to take paternity leave. From the day we found out we were pregnant, he's approached fatherhood the way he does everything: with determination, enthusiasm, and commitment.

Watching Colin be a dad is the thing I love most about him. He's teaching our boys to be kind to everyone, understanding of differences, and empowered to be whatever and whoever they want to be. (He's also teaching them truly awful dad jokes, but that's a story for another day.)

And I'm so proud the boys can see Colin demonstrating these values every day through his work in Congress. Our boys are too young to know what paid family leave, affordable child care, and universal pre-k are, but they're being raised by a dad who deeply believes in these policies and is fighting for them every day.

So please, if you have a moment, will you sign this card now to wish Colin a happy Father's Day? I know he'd love to hear from you →

Colin's fighting every day to make sure our kids, and all kids in Texas and across the country, are empowered to achieve their dreams. I, for one, am excited to see him continue this fight in the Senate, and I thank you for being on this journey with us.

Wishing you and your family a very happy Father's Day.

Aly

P.S. Before Father's Day, I also want to recognize anyone who has lost their father, doesn't have a father, or is celebrating other father figures in their lives this year. Colin's mom raised him on her own, so we know this day can be tough. If this is a difficult time for you, please know that you're in our thoughts, and we are wishing you all the best.
