Team,
Today is Father's Day, so I wanted to take a moment to talk about one of the most important people in my life — my dad Arthur.
My dad is an exceptional tennis player, he’s always ready for a competitive board or card game, and his sweet tooth is legendary. Yet, beyond these traits, he holds a special place in my heart as the best boss I have ever had.
I started working with my dad at our family restaurant when I turned 14, and one of the earliest and most profound lessons he imparted was that you should never ask anyone to do something you aren't willing to do yourself. It is a principle that has guided me throughout my life.
He showed me that running a business is not solely about the bottom line, but rather about serving the larger community around you. Every person who stepped through our doors was welcomed with the same warmth and genuine care as if they were a cherished guest in our home.
His compassion and selflessness taught me what it means to lead a life of service, whether in the bustling kitchen of our restaurant or the hallowed halls of Congress.
I hope you'll join me today and take a moment to express your gratitude to the remarkable fathers and father figures in our lives for all they do. I extend my warmest wishes to you and your family for a joyous and healthy Father's Day.
Thank you,
Chris
