I’m about to head out the door to go
celebrate Father's Day with my family, but first I wanted to share a quick
note with you about the values my dad has instilled in me and how they’re
shaping my campaign for Congress.
Before I do that though, I want to say: I know today is not easy for
everyone. I never met my grandfather and every Father’s Day I see the pain
that causes my father. That pain is full of love for the man who raised
him and pride my father has in the children he raised.
For so many reasons, I know today can be filled with a range of mixed
emotions. So if you need to stop reading here, I understand. I hope you
are able to take care of yourself today.
My dad, Jonathan, has been my role model for as long as I can remember.

He taught me how to persevere in the face of unexpected challenges when he
had to leave his career in the garment industry because those jobs were
being moved overseas.
He demonstrated the value of taking risks in order to create a better
future for those around you when he transitioned to a totally new career
path and taught himself everything he needed to know to succeed.
And he showed me that there’s no shame in asking for help when we had to
rely on the support of family and neighbors to make ends meet.
These same values drive me in my everyday life, but especially in my
campaign for Congress. To defeat George Santos, stop the MAGA madness, and
flip this seat blue, we are going to have to work through challenges, take
risks, and — of course — ask for help along the way.
