At the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV), we will always stand up against hatred -- especially when it’s armed.
This week, it came to our attention that a gun shop in North Carolina was advertising their firearms through a billboard attacking four congresswomen of color. Threats against members of Congress, particularly minority members, are trending upward, and these threats are driven by the president’s racist ideology. This type of anti-government rhetoric is dangerous!
We spoke out against this hateful advertising -- and it looks like we won! The billboard company has announced they will remove the ad. We will keep up the pressure to ensure that it is taken down as soon as possible.
