That $29 might not sound like enough to make a direct impact in a Senate race. Extremist Republican candidates are bankrolled by far-right megadonors. It takes thousands of dollars for us to run just one TV ad. And on top of all that, we're up against historic headwinds after New York Republicans just had their best election cycle in decades.

But when hundreds or thousands of people chip in $29, once, twice, or maybe even monthly, those gifts of $29 start to add up. Before you know it, that $29 has become a war chest capable of taking on the GOP's biggest megadonors. That's how grassroots campaigns are built, John: Dollar by dollar. Gift by gift. Donor by donor.

I'm 100% committed to running a full grassroots campaign. I refuse to take a single penny from corporate PACs. Because I know that our democracy only works when our leaders answer to people, not corporations. But grassroots campaigns only work when people like you invest in them.

Gathering enough grassroots resources isn't easy, and it takes time. I'm counting on early, strong support from people like you to take on the GOP and defend our Senate majority.
