Here we go again. This criminal president and his enablers break down another norm, putting us on the path to a dictatorship. Last night, Attorney General William Barr intervened in the sentencing of Trump ally and associate Roger Stone, and the four prosecutors working the case resigning in protest. This is an astounding turn of events.

The situation with Barr highlights that appointments matter and we can no longer stand for a spineless Senate!

What’s unfolding before our eyes is typical of the rise of authoritarian regimes. Those in power normalize the indefensible to the point that people tune out. Trump is flooding us with a barrage of daily outrage, and people don't have time to respond before moving on to the next outrage. That's how democracies fall. And it’s exactly why we can’t give up!

I know watching the news can make us feel like there is nothing we as individuals can do to change the course of history. But tough times really are opportunities to prove our capacity for greatness, and it’s exactly in tough times when the tide can turn.
