Here’s a thought: Let Americans decide for themselves who they want as president. Pretty obvious, right? Apparently not obvious enough to a claque of Washington operatives caught plotting behind closed doors to trade your right to vote so they can stay in power.

Don’t take our word for it. Listen to the voters, 89% of whom told us in a poll ([link removed] ) yesterday that they oppose the Lincoln Project/Third Way’s undemocratic scheme to decide which candidates should be allowed on ballots in next year’s presidential election.

We get it. The two entrenched parties are petrified of losing their influence and power. They should be afraid since poll after poll shows Americans overwhelmingly want a moderate, independent candidate over Donald Trump or Joe Biden.

But instead of competing to win your vote, they plot in private. Who tore up the Constitution and made them monarchs? You can read the sordid details in this Washington Post article ([link removed] ) . You’ll want to take a shower halfway through it.

They won’t get away with it. Not on our watch. No Labels ([link removed] ) is working to secure ballot access across the country to give Americans just that: a moderate, bipartisan Unity ticket if the choice does come down to Biden vs. Trump.

It turns out you can put Lincoln in your name, but it still won’t make you honest or wise, and it won’t win you any votes.

Shame on them.
