Indivisibles,

We’ll cut to the chase: We’re falling seriously behind on our fundraising
needs for June. Not an arbitrary goal, but the budget we carefully set so
we can support our organizers in the field, craft progressive messaging,
and win critical electoral and legislative fights.

We’re just over halfway through the month but we’re barely one third of
the way to our $292,705 small-dollar goal for the month. We hope you’ll
give us a minute to explain why grassroots fundraising is so critical to
Indivisible’s mission, and if you’re ready to help us close the gap,
[ [link removed] ]you can click here to pitch in.

You probably see a lot of emails that include midnight deadlines and
doomsday predictions, and maybe some campaigns only ever email you asking
for money. We do things a bit differently at Indivisible. Our priority for
our email program is to provide useful information and opportunities for
action. And when we do ask for donations, we’re honest about the stakes,
the urgency, and how your support will impact our work.

The truth is: The world won’t end if we don’t hit our June fundraising
goal. We’ll still be here on July 1, fighting against MAGA extremism and
for a better, more just world for all of us.

But falling short of our goal this month will have real consequences. The
state of our fundraising shapes the conversations we have about which
programs we can scale up and what new campaigns we can greenlight.

Even though 2023 has been rough for fundraising, we’ve still managed to
accomplish a lot thanks in large part to the generosity of our grassroots
donors who’ve stepped up in critical moments. Since the start of the year
we’ve been able to:

🧀 Help flip the Wisconsin Supreme Court by running the largest texting
program in the state and providing thousands of postcards for local groups
to send to voters.

đź“Ł Support hundreds of events across the country to defend Medicare, Social
Security, and Medicaid from being put on the chopping block by MAGA
Republicans in the House. We’re proud to say Indivisible helped shape the
conversation about the default fight this spring and back McCarthy into a
corner.

🪧 Put up billboards in key Unrepresentative districts exposing vulnerable
Republicans for their votes to slash funding for healthcare, veterans, and
education while shielding tax breaks for the ultra wealthy.

Grassroots donors helped make these campaigns and more possible. What
we’re able to do over the coming months to gear up for a massive budget
fight in the fall and lay the early groundwork for 2024 also depends on
supporters like you (spoiler alert: we’re aiming to rebuild our trifecta
and codify Roe). So if you’re able to, [ [link removed] ]please click here to pitch in
and help us close our fundraising gap for June.

The work to defend our democracy and advance progressive values goes on
year-round and it wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of
our grassroots donors.
