Team —

When I was a kid, I lost three fingers on my left hand grinding meat in our family’s butcher shop. I don’t even remember putting my hand there — but I can damn sure remember pulling it out.

Heck, I can even recall my mom tossing me into the back of her blue 1965 Pontiac Bonneville station wagon and high-tailing it to the nearest hospital. I got lucky because it was only 13 miles away.

Tack on another 35 miles and it could have been a lot worse.

Here’s why I’m telling you this: just like my $12 flattop haircut from my local barbershop back home and my collection of dirt-stained t-shirts, my accident is a big part of the reason I remain grounded and focused amid the partisan politics and nonsense that’s happening in our government.

Because with all the chaos in Washington, you need somebody who will fight to protect our public lands, create good-paying jobs, and, yes, ensure rural communities have hospitals within driving distance.

As the only working dirt farmer in the U.S. Senate, I don’t have much time for the big donors and shady super PACs a lot of folks around here rely on. Instead, I rely on grassroots folks like you.

That’s why I’m asking you today: Can you make a contribution of $3 today to help us keep fighting for regular folks in Washington?

DONATE [link removed]

You don’t need ten fingers to know right from wrong and you can bet I’m going to work every single day trying to do right by working families, farmers, students, and veterans here in Montana and across the country.I appreciate your support as part of this team, and anything you pitch in today will go a long way for our grassroots campaign.

Thanks again,

— Jon
