John, American society is facing some tough questions right now, and it seems like we're more divided than ever as we struggle to find the right answers.
With the latest news about the indictment of Donald Trump, one of the big questions we have to ask is if we want to live in a nation where the same laws apply to every citizen?
Some of the loudest voices in the GOP are suggesting that despite what appears to be very serious evidence that Trump committed crimes, he should be held to a different standard than you and I.
What kind of precedent does that set? What kind of message does that send to young Americans? What does it do to the bedrock principles of our country?
And it appears that this was completely avoidable. It's not that Trump had classified records that he shouldn't have. Mistakes happen. The real issue is that when the government did its duty and asked for them back, he is accused of stonewalling their efforts and obstructing the process. My staff shared with me a short video from a speech that I gave in 2016 talking about the choice that we had before us as a nation. We had two paths to choose from then, and we ended up on the path to darkness and division. It's time to change directions. Don't you agree? |
That's what I will continue to be focused on and you can count on me to continue rallying Americans to stand up for a compassionate and more hopeful country. I'm out there every week giving speeches, doing media interviews, communicating on social media and using every other tool at my disposal to give hope and encouragement to as many Americans as I can. John - I'm counting on your continued support to ensure that we can keep this important work moving forward. Will you please consider chipping in right now to help with this important cause and ensure that we can keep up the fight for a better America? |
Together, we can bring about positive change and fight for America. I'm so appreciative for your ongoing support. Thank you! -John |
