"Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, 'Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."

– James 2:15-17

Africa & Europe

Praise God for convictions in several cases in Ghana that experienced a lot of political interference along the way. These cases were first brought to court in 2019, and they involved about 23 children who had been trafficked into exploitation in the fishing industry. The perpetrators moved into remote areas and were evading court hearings, but with the help of marine officers and boats from the police patrol project, IJM and partners were able to move the case forward to judgement after four years. Praise God for the perseverance and innovation of the IJM Ghana team in bringing about this conviction at last.
Latin America

Please pray for the process of healing and restoration of survivors in Bolivia. More survivors are beginning therapy sessions with IJM-trained, pro-bono psychologists. Please pray that therapy will provide them with tools that will make them feel that there is hope, that the trauma they went through is not the defining principle in their lives, that God loves them, and that with His help they can overcome the fears and obstacles they are experiencing today.

South Asia

Praise God for individuals freed thanks to the Released Bonded Laborers Association (RBLA) in April! This group of survivors worked with the government to help rescue 27 individuals —including a newborn baby and 11 minors—from a tree-cutting unit. We thank God for the government’s swift attention, springing into action the same day the RBLA submitted a petition to lead the rescue.

Asia Pacific

Let us persist in our prayers for the dedicated IJM teams diligently rescuing individuals trapped in Forced Scamming. This insidious form of modern slavery is not only complex but also rapidly proliferating worldwide. The urgency for a global response to enforce laws and champion the cause of those living in slavery cannot be overstated. Join us in fervent prayer for the swift liberation of the victims, and for the unwavering commitment of our teams striving to establish widespread accountability for perpetrators.

IJM Global Office & Partners

The IJM global office is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Please join us in praying for the teams planning trips to our field offices this summer. We specifically ask for prayers for the safety of all IJM staff, donors and partners who will be traveling to offices worldwide, and that their travel logistics would be problem-free. Additionally, we humbly request prayer that God would prepare the hearts and minds of these individuals to love and serve all those they encounter during their time there.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them,
please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
