Dear john,

In Washington this week, my colleagues and I took a new step in our journey to end gun violence in America. On Tuesday, we filed discharge petitions to force House leadership to bring commonsense gun safety legislation to the floor for a vote. When I came to Congress, I came to fulfill the promise I made to my son Jordan that I would spend the rest of my life devoted to making sure mothers and fathers across the county never had to go through the same pain that I did. I filed my discharge petition this week because people like you sent me to Washington to use every tool at my disposal to fight for solutions that will save American lives.

On Thursday, I was thrilled to launch my 2023 Congressional App Challenge! This is an exciting opportunity for middle and high school students interested in coding to show off their skills and develop the next great app. For more information, please visit my website at mcbath.house.gov/congressional-app-challenge.

We are still accepting RSVPs for the July 6th PACT Act briefing that I am co-hosting with Gwinnett County Commissioner Jasper Watkins! If you are a Seventh District veteran or family member who wants to learn more, I encourage you to join us. To RSVP, please visit PACTActGA07.eventbrite.com or click on the image below.
