Jack,
I'm reaching out to you today with a shocking, urgent message about the Democratic primaries in Loudoun County. The image below is a message that is currently being circulated by the Loudoun County Republican Committee.
Republicans casting bad-faith votes in our primary elections is not new, but this time is different. This is a coordinated effort by the GOP to manipulate the Democratic primaries to benefit Republican candidates in the general election.
Historically, off-year primaries have low turnout, and that's what the Republicans are counting on. They think that we won't show up, and they can flood the polls with their own votes instead. We can't let Republicans drown out our voices, and we can't let them pick our nominees.
If you have not already voted in the primary, please vote early this Saturday, June 17th, or at the polls on Tuesday, June 20th. For more information on where and when to vote in the Democratic primary, visit https://www.loudoun.gov/vote.
Do your research on the candidates, make a plan to vote, and make sure your Democratic friends are voting, too. That's how we fight back against these dirty tactics. If we all vote in the primaries, our nominees will have the best possible shot to win in November.
Thank you, as always, for your support.
