Every day I’m your representative, I strive to work across the aisle to improve the lives of my constituents here in Sacramento County. But too many of my Republican colleagues, who now hold a slim House majority, don't hold those values.

The extremists in office have always scapegoated our most vulnerable people for political power grabs. We’ve seen it with seniors on Social Security and Medicare. We’ve seen it with women seeking reproductive care. We’ve seen it with their treatment of LGBTQ+ people.
And we’ve seen it time and time again when the GOP refuses to take up gun violence legislation as school kids pay the consequences of their inaction.
I will not stand for it.
