Last night’s New Hampshire primary has shaken up the Democratic field – and it’s only the second primary that has taken place! Three candidates have now dropped out – Michael Bennet, Deval Patrick, and Andrew Yang – as most of the remaining nine candidates now turn their attention to Nevada and South Carolina, the two state primaries remaining for February.
Not only has the New Hampshire primary had an impact on the field of candidates, but early reporting seems to indicate that there was an 18% INCREASE in the number of voters who turned out compared to 2016, demonstrating a sharp uptick in voter enthusiasm for the 2020 elections. This kind of voter enthusiasm is going to be instrumental to help us in DEFEATING Trump and ENDING the Republican senate majority in November!
February also features the final two early state Democratic primary debates! With dwindling opportunities to make their pitch to primary voters, we can expect candidates to be doing everything they can to further distinguish themselves from each other in the days ahead – do you plan to watch the remaining debates?
