I’m proud of the work my office does every day to help members of our community access important resources, navigate various federal agencies, and recoup money owed to them. One of the issues we’ve assisted with most frequently this year is helping constituents overcome paperwork and logistical hurdles to secure passports through the U.S. Department of State.
I’m particularly pleased we were able to help Jack Foy, a local 98-year-old World War II veteran who needed a new passport to travel to Normandy and deliver remarks at the annual the D-Day Ceremony—a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thankfully, we were able to coordinate with the Department of State and help get him that passport in time for his big trip This was one small way we could help show our appreciation for Mr. Foy’s service to our country, and I’m grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
It's a privilege to be able to assist our community and the individuals who call it home. While some issues are out of our control, we always try our best to secure a favorable outcome or find a resolution to whatever problem constituents may be facing.
