On Tuesday, I spent nearly 12 hours in a Ways and Means Committee markup, where my colleagues and I worked to advance legislation that will provide tax relief for working families.
I am excited to share that we passed my bill, the Protecting American Farmland Act, out of committee! This will prevent the Chinese Communist Party and other foreign adversaries from purchasing our farm and ranch land.
We also took a strong bipartisan step to approve the first trade agreement signed under the U.S.-Taiwan Initiative on 21st Century Trade, while also adding new measures to ensure this administration – or future presidents – cannot circumvent Congress's constitutional authority to approve trade agreements.
