The State Department is already an over-complicated rat’s nest—and they just keep begging for more.
Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley, the chief diversity and inclusion officer, is asking for over $75 million to fund more silly initiatives. These people want to add more staff, study race and gender demographics, track reports of discrimination, harassment, and bullying…the list goes on and on.
As always, it's the same old story—lots of questions and hardly any answers. This week's hearing left us empty-handed, offering no specifics about the actual content of these programs.
I asked about the $2.9 million for “unconscious bias training,” whatever that means, and didn’t get a description. Ms. Abercrombie-Winstanley couldn’t even tell me how much money the State Department is wasting on these DEI advisers.
Time to cut to the chase.
These programs propagate nonsense to make people feel warm and fuzzy, but the Biden administration continues to sign executive orders directing agencies to keep on pushing.
We can’t dump money down the drain on this fluff. May the best man or woman, regardless of race or sexual orientation, get the jobs they’re qualified for.
