A Backlash Is Building

Earlier this week, we told you about polling that shows most Americans strongly reject the radical left’s LGBTQ extremism.  But a number of recent incidents also suggest that a backlash is building across the country, and especially among young Americans.
  • When a California teacher recently attempted to show a “Pride” video, students in her math class erupted in boos.  Some students yelled, “Stop!” “Turn it off!”  “Why are you showing this to kids?”  Why indeed!  And why is this being shown in a math class?!
  • In Massachusetts, a 12 year-old boy dared to wear a shirt that declared, “There Are Only Two Genders.”
  • Elsewhere in Massachusetts, middle school students openly rebelled by tearing down Pride displays.  Others chanted, “U.S.A. Are My Pronouns!”
  • In Oregon, high school students are protesting the left’s gender insanity by removing the “period product” vending machines from the boys’ bathroom walls and putting them in the toilets.
  • When school officials at one Riverside, California, high school failed to protect girls from a “transgender terrorist,” a large boy who claimed to be a girl who was attacking girls in their bathroom, the young men at the school stepped up and dealt with it
  • Frustrated parents whose children were being exposed to a “pride” assembly at their local elementary school stood up, spoke out and had to literally fight back when they were attacked by militant leftists.

We cheer the boycotts and protests of Bud Light, Target and the Los Angeles Dodgers.   Using our dollars and the markets to send a message to woke corporations is great.  I’ll leave it to you to decide what you think about the other examples of youthful rebellion.  Frankly, I hope their protests inspire more acts of boldness.

When a healthy body is invaded by a dangerous bacteria, the immune system fights back.

Now, I’m not suggesting that individual homosexuals and lesbians are a disease.  I know there are homosexuals who are offended by much of this extremism.

But I am saying that this neo-Marxist ideology that demands we deny reality and bow before it, is a dangerous disease that is foreign to our fundamental American values.

The LGBTQ+ mafia has crossed a line, especially with its heavy and obscene emphasis on indoctrinating our children.

I’ve been disappointed that more husbands and fathers haven’t stood up and fought back.  I’ve been disappointed that more women aren’t speaking out as boldly as Riley Gaines and J.K. Rowling.

But I am encouraged to see more and more young kids telling the left, “Get out of my face!  I’m not going to salute your flag.  I’m not going to lie by using your fake pronouns!”

The Disgusting Dodgers

Tonight is the night when the Los Angeles Dodgers will celebrate “pride” by honoring the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group of perpetual anti-Christian bigots.

The Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a statement condemning the Dodgers, saying the team’s actions are “not just offensive and painful to Christians,” but “blasphemy.”

If you would like to share your thoughts with the Dodgers, use the following link / email address:  [email protected].

But even here, there is some good news of “resistance” to share with you.

Because a handful of Christian players (supported by voices like yours) have spoken up, Major League Baseball recently announced that it was dropping the requirement that all teams must wear “Pride jerseys.”

This move follows protests from various hockey players, and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman saying that so-called “Pride nights” have “become more of a distraction.”

Biden Appeases The Ayatollah

As Joe Biden gears up for his 2024 reelection campaign, he would love to have one foreign policy success he can point to.  He’s been repeatedly embarrassed by communist China.  The Afghanistan retreat was a debacle.  And the Ukraine war is looking like another quagmire.

So, for whatever reason, it seems the White House has settled on another nuclear deal with Iran as Biden’s most likely foreign policy “success.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is furious.  He told top Israeli leaders this week:

“Over 90% of our security problems stem from Iran and its proxies. . . Our position is clear: No [American] agreement with Iran will be binding on Israel, which will continue to do everything to defend itself.”

Here’s something to think about.

Joe Biden is going all out to support Ukraine.  We’re even borrowing artillery shells from our allies like Israel, Japan and South Korea because we can’t make them fast enough.  So, Biden is now depleting the supplies of our allies.  He has also threatened India for not joining the boycott of Russia.

Well, Iran is supplying drones to Russia, and Biden is trying to reward Iran.

Many of our elites insist that Ukraine is “the last line of defense” for the West.  They insist that if we don’t stop Putin there, he’ll take over Europe.  Given the embarrassing performance of the Russian military so far, that seems like a big stretch.

But if Russia is such a menacing threat, why is Biden trying to reward one of Putin’s primary allies, while putting our real ally, Israel, at risk?

Summer Reading Recommendations

If you are looking for some summer reading recommendations, here are two new books to consider.

The first is, “Manhood: The Masculine Virtues America Needs,” by Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley.  I think the title clearly speaks for itself.  While you might be tempted to think of it as a Father’s Day gift, I think it might be a better gift for fathers to give to their sons.

The second book is, “Decades of Decadence,” by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.  Its subtitle provides a good summary: “How Our Spoiled Elites Blew America’s Inheritance Of Liberty, Security And Prosperity.”

Senators Hawley and Rubio are two excellent examples of Donald Trump’s transformation of the Republican Party.  They’re not your typical “Chamber of Commerce” conservatives, and I have been encouraged by their willingness to call out multinational elites who are putting America’s interests last.

By the way, Sen. Rubio attempted to run an ad critical of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence on the local Los Angeles TV stations that carries the Dodgers’ games.  But the station rejected the ad.

Rubio said the rejection “tells you everything you need to know about the Dodgers, Major League Baseball, and the media.  They are no longer demanding tolerance, they now promote intolerance and even hatred of Christianity.”

Good News
  • The House of Representatives passed bipartisan legislation to prevent the Biden Administration from banning gas stoves.  It remains to be seen if Schumer’s Senate will act on the bill.
  • The number of major corporations bragging about their efforts on behalf of woke DEI and ESG agendas has fallen dramatically – down 31% over the past year.
  • Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed four parental rights bills into law.  The legislation provides greater transparency in school curricula, removes inappropriate books from school libraries and provides greater support to special needs students.
  • Gov. Abbott also signed legislation banning DEI offices at colleges and universities, a tremendous move to lower tuition costs by reducing unnecessary bureaucracy, as well as divisiveness on campus.
  • Amid the ongoing backlash against transgender insanity, Bud Light has lost its crown as the best-selling beer in America.
