⛔ Don’t Say Gay Bill banned teachers from wearing rainbow-colored clothes, banned them from mentioning their same-gender spouses, restricted them from addressing students by their preferred pronouns and required that they remove safe-space stickers from classes – a signal to students that the teacher is LGBTQ+ friendly.
⛔ Protections of Medical Conscience Act would allow doctors and insurers to cite religious or moral beliefs to deny LGBTQ+ people non-life-threatening care.
⛔ Senate Bill 254 grants authorities the right to remove children from their parents if they are if they are “subjected to” or “threatened with” gender-affirming care.
⛔ House Bill 1521 restricts trans people’s access to public toilets, domestic violence shelters or prisons that correspond with their gender identity.
