Dear John,

I wanted to share with you that my Finance Director just let me know that we didn’t meet our mid-month goal last night.

It is understandable, as many people are rightfully focused on enjoying summer, going on vacation, and not paying attention to e-mails and politics right now.

But we can not afford to fall behind, especially when our end-of-quarter deadline is quickly approaching.

That’s why we’re extending our mid-month deadline to midnight tonight, so that we can hopefully catch up and not leave anything on the table when it comes to defending this seat from extreme Republicans and all of the progress we’ve worked so hard to make.
