As the election heats up and our country considers which candidate will take on Trump in the 2020 election, we have a new opportunity to make our voices heard!

Our leaders have met with candidates, we’ve looked at their records and promises and are now deciding to put the candidates to the test. We want to find out which of them is best suited to deliver on the Free to Move, Free to Stay platform to protect immigrants!

Now, our leaders are in the midst of considering whether or not to endorse a candidate for president. Our decision is coming in the coming weeks but I wanted you to get a heads up on how the decision is being made.

Here, you’ll be able to see the meetings, surveys and information we’re using to make this important decision. The way we think about it, an endorsement may be a powerful way for directly impacted people to voice what the direction of the country could be and help our communities understand important differences between the candidates.

An endorsement and engaging in the election is one tool but it isn’t the only one. Because we know that no matter who wins - United We Dream Action leaders will be there to hold them accountable to delivering real protections for immigrants.

This is the first time that we have considered making an endorsement like this and as an important part of United We Dream Action, I wanted you to have the intel as soon as possible!
