The Struggle for Freedom
Vladyslav Yesypenko, a Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty freelance journalist in Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula, which was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014, has exposed the atrocities of life under Russian occupation through his extensive reporting.

He was arrested by Russian authorities in March 2021 in retaliation for his work and has been imprisoned ever since.

Currently, Vladyslav’s wife, Kateryna, is raising awareness about his detention and advocating for his release on an international stage.
