This week we made my hometown paper, while the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point readies for graduation day, see details below. I will be in attendance and look forward to hailing the next crop of Strategic Sealift Officers who serve the nation in times of war and keep the global economy afloat in peacetime as 90% of U.S. imports and exports are transported by sea.

Hometown News Hit!
Thank you Midwest City Beacon for spreading the word! Family, teachers, coaches and the Titan football & track communities instilled the courage and fighting spirit in me for this very moment. I look forward to serving New Yorkers and making Oklahomans proud.

Merchant Marine Academy Grads
I will be attending the USMMA graduation tomorrow - please let me know if you will be there too! Merchant Mariners play a vital role in our national defense as the vast majority of warfighting sustainment is moved by commercial vessels.

Mark Your Calendar - 29 June
Our first campaign event is on June 29th at Duke Ellington's Historic New York City Home featuring comedian Adam Oliensis, pianist Jarod Kashkin, introductory remarks by former Congressman John Shimkus (R-IL), Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee, followed by closing remarks from myself. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. RSVP here.
