Parisa is a critical leader in our fight for justice – which is exactly why conservatives and the police union are hellbent on beating her. During her time in office, she has already:
✅Created a community oversight board to independently review cases of police violence
✅Created a conviction review unit to correct and safeguard against false convictions
✅Adopted a policy to stop the use of peremptory strikes in jury selection to make juries truly representative of the community
✅Stopped prosecution of marijuana possession
✅Ended predatory cash bail
✅Stopped criminalizing people who are struggling with mental health and substance use
✅Treated kids like kids in the criminal justice system
✅Implemented a community-based prosecution model that centers restorative justice and listens to victims
…All while Arlington was recently named one of the safest cities in the United States.
We can’t afford to lose this race. We need to both ensure that Parisa wins re-election and pave the way for more leaders like her.
