Two things you should know:

First, we had a surprisingly good ruling from the Supreme Court last week and it’s going to impact redistricting in North Carolina.

In short, the court ruled that racial gerrymandering is still against the law. That was not what most legal observers expected, and it means that any attempt to engage in racial gerrymandering in North Carolina is going to meet strong legal resistance. That’s good.

Second, at the NC GOP Convention, the head of the National Republican Campaign Committee gave a speech in which he said, “Jeff Jackson, Wiley Nickel, Don Davis, we’re coming for you.”

Got it - message received.
