Good Evening john,
My newsletter includes reporting on our Ponteland Over-50s fair, visiting local schools and funding for community resilience projects.

Ponteland Over-50s Fair Success
This month, I helped organise the Ponteland Over-50s fair to bring together 60 community organisations, employers and voluntary groups for local residents in Ponteland's new state-of-the-art leisure centre.
The fair was a huge success with 400 attendees snapping up the opportunities on show. Thanks to everyone involved and to Newcastle Airport for sponsoring the event.
** Visiting our local schools - Darras Hall Primary School
------------------------------------------------------------
I have recently visited Darras Hall Primary School.
Improving our schools is one of my six priorities for Tynedale and Ponteland and I am delighted that the school will receive £58,534 extra in funding in the coming financial year.
Since elected, every high school across Tynedale and Ponteland has been rebuilt or fully refurbished and our fairer funding for rural schools’ campaign has resulted in the biggest improvement in rural school funding for decades. This means local students are equipped with the skills for high-paid and high-quality employment.
It was great to catch up with the headteacher and to speak with some of the pupils at both schools about my role as an MP, British values and answer any questions they had.
**
------------------------------------------------------------
Newbrough Town Hall received
£20,000 for a new generator.
Humshaugh Village Hall has
received £20,000 so it
can function as a crisis hub
in future storm events.
Stonehaugh Community Hall received £17,000 to fund a community hub.
** £245,00 for community resilience projects following storm Arwen
------------------------------------------------------------
I am delighted following our campaign community groups across Northumberland have received vital funding for resilience measures.
As a result, local residents across Tynedale and Ponteland will be able to access to safe and warm community hubs in the event of future storms and have greater access to heaters, lanterns and batteries if they are unable to leave home.
£245,000 is being invested into 17 projects across Tynedale and Ponteland.
