In case you missed it, my dad shared last week that I will be taking over this series while he is deployed with the South Carolina National Guard in Africa.

My dad started these $5 Fridays back at the beginning of the campaign to give you all a behind-the-scenes look at our family. You’re an important part of our team and we want to make sure you feel like it by getting an exclusive look at the many stories we have to share about my mom and our family. We also know that the economy is tough, and not everyone is in a place to give.

Since this is my first email to you, I wanted to give you a bit of an introduction about myself. My name is Nalin and I’m a rising senior at Villanova University, studying political science. When my mom announced she was running for President, I wanted to do anything I could to help out on the campaign. As you can imagine, I jumped at the opportunity to intern at the Nikki Haley campaign headquarters during my summer break.
I’ve been on the campaign trail with my mom since I was 3 and have watched in awe as she takes on every challenge with determination and a smile on her face. When she does something, there is no halfway – whether it’s being the most incredible mother, proud military spouse, state legislator, governor, UN ambassador, or candidate for President.
My mom’s running for President because she knows we have a country to save. I have seen firsthand her passion for serving our country and my mom taught these same values to me. Her determination to fight for a better future and to protect the freedoms of people is exactly what this campaign is all about.
In addition to serving our country, she’s a proud military spouse and mom who always makes time and prioritizes her family. I'm excited to share more about my family, but today I wanted to make sure to share why I know she will make an incredible President. I am so proud to be her son and get to do everything I can to help elect her our next President!
