PAWS Chicago Giving Day is June 22, and this year, it's not just homeless pets who win!

Icarus was struggling to see, hear, and breathe when we met him. His eyes were weeping. Both ears were badly infected and filled with scar tissue. And his lungs had been ravaged by a respiratory infection from living outdoors. 

Our rescue team carried him to our Medical Center, where our medical team went to work. Icarus received antibiotics through a special inhaler. We treated the infections in his ears, administered a series of eye meds, gave him badly needed dental surgery, and, finally, wrapped him in a thick layer of TLC.  

It took several weeks but, today, Icarus has regained his senses and is enjoying his world for the first time in a long time. And his new family is enjoying him.
