Everyone in Washington state should have access to safe, affordable housing. That’s why I introduced the
Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act to add over 60,000 affordable housing units in Washington over the next decade.
For too many in our state, the lack of affordable housing makes it difficult to just get by, let alone save for retirement and truly thrive. This is a complex problem, and there’s no simple solution. So I want to hear your thoughts on how Congress should be fighting the housing crisis in Washington state and across the country.

I’ve been a longtime advocate for affordable housing in Congress, from the latest
Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act to sponsoring and passing the first federal increase in the affordable housing tax credit in a decade.
I’m determined to continue fighting to ensure that everyone in the state has access to affordable housing.
