John,
June is Gun Violence Prevention Month.
As Republican-controlled states across the country continue to loosen gun laws, Connecticut continues to be a leader in passing common sense gun legislation.
Now, President Biden is traveling to West Hartford for a national gun safety summit marking one year since the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act - the largest gun reform bill in three decades.
It’s a perfect time to renew our push for more progress and show just how much our state and our delegation have paved the way for comprehensive gun reform.
Connecticut is leading the country in gun safety legislation – add your name if you agree we need to see this kind of progress on a national level.
The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act was a major victory for our country, but we still have more work to do. We’ve finally broken through and started to make progress on reforming gun legislation, but we can’t stop now.
This Gun Violence Prevention Month, Congress has the chance to take serious action to prevent more senseless tragedy. Sign here to demand action now >>
We need to stand up for every life lost to preventable gun violence.
