John,
On December 8, 2022, Donald emailed you to tell you he would be testifying in front of Congress demanding judicial ethics reform. He emailed you again on Wednesday saying the same exact thing.
That’s 188 days of inaction from the court to regulate itself, and 188 days of waiting for Congress to pass meaningful reforms. In those 188 days, the Supreme Court ethics crisis has only gotten worse.

CNN quoted Donald’s testimony to Congress about the urgency of our fight for judicial ethics reform:
“Justice Thomas’s pattern of conduct is at an entirely different level of seriousness than that of his conservative and liberal current and former colleagues and requires different consequences – but the issues all of these justices have run into makes clear the need for significant reform in the court’s ethics regime.”
Over the last few months, we’ve seen confidence in the Court hit new lows in the wake of reports that Justice Clarence Thomas failed to disclose receiving luxury vacations and tuition payments from billionaire Harlan Crow. With more than 70% of Americans supporting judicial ethics reform, this should be a bipartisan issue.
CREW will continue to fight to hold the Supreme Court Justices to the highest ethical standards. Please make a donation to our organization to help us continue this work →
Thank you,
Team CREW
