Racist emails sent by Donald Trump Jr. surface in friend's lawsuit against former employer
In the least shocking development in recent memory, the disgraced ex-president's eldest son has been outed as a raging, racist bigot. In private email exchanges with an equally abhorrent friend, Don Jr. made deeply disparaging remarks about Black and Mexican people and jokingly complained he'd have to speak to his future grandchildren in Spanish (the horror!) because Mexican immigrants can't be bothered to learn English. [RETWEET THAT!]
Take Action: Ban Don Jr. from social media for pushing conspiracies!

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump attorney humiliates herself on live TV
Alina Habba went on Newsmax to defend her boss's classified documents crimes but just ended up revealing her own ignorance about the Espionage Act — the federal law that may finally put Trump behind bars.
Take Action: Demand the Trump-appointed judge recuse herself from his indictment case!

Trump pulls dangerous stunt amid federal indictment
No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen: Beyond the pale.
🚨 Brian Tyler Cohen launched a Spanish YouTube channel! The left has a huge problem reaching Spanish speaking audiences, and our vote share among Spanish speakers is actually declining, so please spread the Democrats' message by subscribing to his channel (and watch some videos to get them going in the algorithm) by clicking here.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott trafficks first busload of migrants to Los Angeles
Abbott loaded 42 people — including eight children — onto a bus in Texas and trafficked them to Los Angeles, declaring it a "sanctuary city." Some of the migrants were as young as 2 years old and NONE of them were given any food or water for the hellish, 23-hour journey. This level of cruelty can only be understood once you realize that Republicans do not see these migrants as people, but rather as disposable pawns to be toyed with for political gain. [RETWEET THAT!]
Take Action: Investigate Greg Abbott & Ron DeSantis for human rights abuses!
Supreme Court preserves law that aims to keep Native American children with tribal families
In a surprising 7-2 ruling from our nation's highest court, four conservative justices joined the court's liberal wing to preserve the Indian Child Welfare Act, a system that gives preference to Native American families in foster care and adoption proceedings of Native children, rejecting a broad attack from some Republican-led states and white families who disenguously argued against the practice on prejudicial grounds.
Take Action: Call for more LGBTQ+ judges to be appointed to the federal bench!

Trump skipped out on restaurant bill after promising "food for everybody" to his supporters
Shortly after he was arraigned in Miami, Donald Trump made a pit stop at a Little Havana restaurant to hobnob with some of his delusional supporters. The MAGA crowd cheered, prayed for him, and sang "Happy Birthday" a day early. To their delight, Trump announced that he'd be buying "food for everybody" but conveniently slipped out ten minutes later — without paying for so much as a nibble. Classic. [RETWEET THAT!]
Take Action: Tell CNN: No more Trump town halls!
US government says several agencies hacked as part of broader cyberattack
In addition to the federal agencies targeted, several hundred companies and organizations could ultimately be affected by a far-reaching cyberattack that exploited a previously unknown vulnerability in popular file sharing software. Clop, the Russian-linked ransomware gang allegedly responsible, is known to demand multimillion-dollar ransoms, though no such threats have been issued thus far.

It’s time to end Ivy League legacy admissions for GOOD
Exclusion U: Legacy admissions are nothing but institutionalized nepotism, allowing the spoiled scions of the rich and famous to coast their way through life while more deserving, hard-working students are left out in the cold — and to make matters worse, these institutions receive huge sums of taxpayer dollars. Will you add your name to demand an end this corrupt and unfair practice?
Twitter halts promotion of Democrat's campaign video due to "abortion advocacy"
Proving beyond any doubt that billionaire tech bozo Elon Musk's constant lip service to "free speech" is nothing more than a mask for pushing a radical right-wing agenda, Twitter decided to block North Carolina lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Rachel Hunt's campaign video from being promoted on its platform because it expressed support for abortion rights. At the same time, the social media behemoth is awash in anti-trans content, gore videos, and rampant xenophobia and racism.
Texas governor signs bill placing limits on transgender athletes in college sports
The GOP's unholy crusade against the LGBTQ community continues at break-neck pace as right-wing fear and hate are increasingly being codified into law. Texas just enacted a new measure barring all transgender college athletes from competing in sports that align with their gender identity — expanding a 2021 law that banned transgender students in K-12 Texas school districts and some charter schools from doing the same. The assault on the trans community will not end here though. Unless they're stopped at the ballot box, the GOP will continue seizing cultural territory on this issue until it's quite literally illegal to be queer.
The FBI groomed a 16-year-old with “brain development issues” to become a terrorist
As the GOP continues to vilify federal law enforcement agencies in a knee-jerk defense of Donald Trump, it's imperative that the left resist the urge to overcorrect and defend these institutions as bastions of morality. They are, at the end of the day, fortresses of reaction with deeply complicated track records. A sobering reminder of that reality can be found in the case of Mateo Ventura, a Massachusetts teenager who was entrapped by the FBI and is now being prosecuted for sending small gift card donations to an undercover agent posing as an Islamic radical. Even worse, Ventura was born prematurely and has "brain development issues," meaning that — in at least this instance — the FBI targeted a vulnerable individual in a pathetic scheme to notch an anti-terror "win."
Google earned $10 million from ads misdirecting abortion seekers to "pregnancy crisis centers"
Perfectly encapsulating the capitalist drive to "monetize the rot," Google has made millions of dollars in the last two years from advertisements by exploiting the war on reproductive healthcare and misdirecting users who were seeking abortion services to “pregnancy crisis centers” that do not actually provide care. It's high time for a class action lawsuit.

Today’s Action: Pass the PRO Act and protect the right to unionize!
Though labor movements have been around for more than a century, corrupt bigwigs are still working overtime to ensure their employees aren’t compensated properly for their work in the face of growing worker power. The National Labor Relation Board’s Seattle office filed a complaint against Starbucks last year for violating US labor law with extreme union-busting tactics, such as withholding benefits and pay raises from unionizing stores. Just a few months ago, corporate employees of the coffee giant sent an open letter fighting back against the store’s continued overreaction to union efforts. We can’t allow workers to continue fighting these greedy corporations on their own — it’s time for our legislators to step up and fully protect the right to unionize.
Starbucks is far from the only guilty corporation. Currently, the longest newspaper strike in decades is taking place at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The workers have been on strike for more than eight months demanding better healthcare and wages. There’s strength in numbers, and the labor movement certainly has that, but if certain senators don’t stop holding up the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act to provide more equitable conditions for all workers, the fallout across the American workforce will only worsen.
The fact is, when unions thrive, American workers and families thrive. It’s really that simple. Corporate America’s desperate efforts to get everyone back to work after the pandemic has reminded workers everywhere they’re worth more than low pay, low benefits, long hours, and emotional abuse from unappreciative bosses.
Call (202-224-3121) or write your senators and ask them to support the PRO Act in solidarity with the growing labor movement across the country! Send them this petition with almost 40,000 signatures in favor of its passage!
