The GOP’s attack on LGBTQIA+ rights is unprecedented

Since the beginning of the year, 417 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills have been introduced in state legislatures across the country — double the number from the previous year. In response, the Human Rights Campaign has declared a national state of emergency for the LGBTQIA+ community.
These hateful bills signed into law include pronoun refusal laws, the forced outing of students, bans on drag performances, and "don't say gay" laws.
Every individual, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, deserves to lead a life filled with dignity and free from the burden of discrimination. Dem AGs are committed to creating a society where everyone can live authentically and be celebrated for who they are.
