House Democrats have dismissed allegations this week that President Joe Biden improperly accepted money from a Ukrainian company during the Obama administration, while defending the decision to charge former President Donald Trump with crimes. When questioned about the need for an investigation into the Biden allegations, Representative Eric Swalwell of California stated that the claims made by MAGA Republicans lack credibility and are essentially baseless. He urged his colleagues to focus on important matters such as funding the government and supporting Ukraine.

A recent agreement struck by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy with the more conservative members of his party could potentially pave the way for a government shutdown later this year, according to a report from the Washington Examiner on Wednesday.
