Our seniors are among the vulnerable in our community. As the nation progresses, we must ensure that our seniors are not left behind.
In commemoration of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, let us do our part to look out for seniors in support of a more inclusive Singapore.
Did you know that other than physical and emotional abuse, neglect is also a form of abuse? That is why our Members of Parliament continue to take action for our seniors through community activities and house visits to let them know that they are not alone.
As our caregiving needs increase in complexity and frequency, the ‘We See You Care’ campaign aims to shine a spotlight on the unseen labour of caregivers and give them the recognition and support they deserve. Read more.
At the National Harmony Circle appointment ceremony on 27 May 2023, Minister Edwin Tong said that the Government is refreshing the Harmony Circles for a Singapore that looks beyond differences. Read more.
The Purple Symphony is Singapore’s largest inclusive orchestra and is made up of musicians with and without disabilities. According to MP Denise Phua who helped found the Symphony, the Symphony is Singapore's “best-kept secret".
