The national media downplayed just how big we won here…because they are afraid we will do it again.

Friend,
Did you get my team’s recent email? They wanted to remind you of what delivering results looks like. I came in as governor in 2018, winning by 32,000 votes out of more than 8 million votes cast. Prior to running, I was advised to bide my time, keep my head down, and not rock the boat because our state was a toss-up on voter registration and performance. I understand why they said that, but with all due respect, I rejected that advice.
We went in on day one. We were very bold. We were very ambitious.
Fast forward four years later— November of 2022—we didn’t win by 32,000 votes, we won by over 1.5 million votes.
Friend, this was the most votes a Republican governor candidate had ever gotten. We were winning places that Republicans haven’t won in a very long time, including winning independent voters by 18 percentage points and winning more than 60% of Hispanic voters. That is what you call bringing people to your platform and attracting voters.
But, Friend, while the results are important, HOW we did it is just as critical to understand. We didn’t do it by pretending to be more moderate or shifting our agenda to the Left. No, we did it by sticking to our principles. By being authentic and being honest with voters. Even when they disagreed, we told them the truth. That is how we attract more and more people to our cause.
Governor DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory of nearly 20 points, earning his second term by the largest raw vote margin in state history—winning by more than 1.5 million raw votes.
It wasn't long ago that we considered Florida a toss-up for Republicans. So, what happened?
Governor DeSantis’ history-making success reflects four years of strong leadership and a policy agenda that generated a sea-change in Florida’s partisan voter registration makeup.
In a world gone mad, Florida was a citadel of freedom against the left’s insanity.
No matter what he was up against — corporate media, the woke Left, or bureaucratic elites — Governor DeSantis never backed down in standing up for the people he serves.
When the COVID-19 pandemic sent the world into a frenzy of tyrannical lockdowns and unchecked government overreach, Governor DeSantis stood strong to keep the state of Florida free and open.
He fought to make sure that:
businesses could remain open,
students could stay in school,
and families were able to visit their loved ones during moments that mattered most.
Governor DeSantis worked to lift people up, not tear them down, and it’s why he won in every corner of the state –– including once-liberal bastions.
A native Floridian with blue-collar roots, Ron was raised in Dunedin by his mother, a nurse, and father, who installed cable boxes. He attended Dunedin High School and worked his way through Yale University, where he was the captain of the varsity baseball team. He also graduated with honors from Harvard Law School, where he earned a commission in the U.S. Navy as a JAG officer.
During his active-duty service, Ron deployed to Iraq in support of the SEAL mission in Fallujah, Ramadi and the rest of Al Anbar province. His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service and the Iraq Campaign Medal.
Ron also served as a prosecutor in Florida, where he put child predators behind bars. He was elected to Congress in 2012 on a platform of government accountability, advocating for term limits and a balanced budget amendment.
In Congress, DeSantis spearheaded the fight to expose the weaponization of the IRS against conservatives. He also fought to hold accountable the rogue federal agencies involved in manufacturing the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory. As a veteran, DeSantis was a champion for those who have served our country, pushing for reforms to the VA to better serve veterans and expand support for mental health.
In 2018, Ron DeSantis was elected the 46th Governor of Florida. As governor, he has fought for what’s right and taken the arrows for the people he represents. During the darkest days of 2020, when the corrupt establishment, bureaucracy, and corporate media united to force lockdowns and mandates on Americans, DeSantis stood up for freedom – even when it wasn’t popular.
Grounded in his unshakeable belief in America’s founding principles, Governor DeSantis has enacted a bold agenda to transform Florida into a blueprint for the Nation’s revival. Governor DeSantis has delivered win after win on conservative priorities:
Saving livelihoods from job-killing lockdowns and vaccine mandates,
Protecting citizens from the harmful impacts of Biden’s border crisis by enacting E-Verify and other bold policies against illegal immigration, such as banning sanctuary cities,
Defending parental rights and eliminating CRT,
Defunding DEI bureaucracy in higher ed and holding tenured professors accountable,
Waging war on woke power-grabs like ESG and central bank digital currency,
Enacting the strongest medical freedom laws in the nation,
Turning Florida into a model for election integrity,
Protecting the unborn,
Standing up for the 2nd Amendment by making Florida a constitutional carry state,
Expanding education freedom,
Prohibiting land purchases by the CCP and related individuals and entities,
Lowering prescription drug costs,
Holding woke corporations and school unions accountable,
Creating a universal school choice program,
Delivering record-breaking tax relief,
Helping families achieve the American dream of homeownership,
Supporting law enforcement and our veterans,
Enacting tougher penalties for drug dealers and sex offenders,
Appointing seven conservative justices to the Florida Supreme Court,
...and so much more.
After leading Florida with common sense and conviction throughout his first term, DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory of nearly 20 points in 2022. He earned his second term by the largest raw vote margin in state history, winning by more than 1.5 million votes.
But history didn’t stop there:
Governor DeSantis flipped Miami-Dade County red, winning the majority-Hispanic urban county by double digits. Conventional wisdom assumed this was impossible for a Republican – as recently as 2016, Hillary Clinton won Miami-Dade County by nearly 30 points.
Governor DeSantis flipped several other blue counties red, including Palm Beach County. He won 62 out of 67 counties overall.
Compared to his first statewide election in 2018, Governor DeSantis was up +19% with Independents, up +30% with Hispanics, and up +9% with women.
Governor DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory with battle-tested leadership, a bold policy agenda, and never backing down to corporate media or special interests. As he said at his inauguration: “When the world lost its mind – when common sense suddenly became an uncommon virtue – Florida was a refuge of sanity, a citadel of freedom for our fellow Americans and even for people around the world. In captaining the ship of state, we choose to navigate the boisterous sea of liberty rather than cower in the calm docks of despotism.”
Governor DeSantis has ensured that Florida is a free and safe place to raise a family. Thanks to the governor’s leadership, Floridians enjoy a low tax burden, quality education opportunities, and a xxxxxx in place against the Biden Administration’s overreach and various elite power grabs that seek to force people to adopt a particular ideology. Thanks to the governor’s vision, this year’s legislative session delivered the most ambitious conservative policy victories in Florida’s history.
This year, Governor DeSantis signed:
Record tax relief
ESG prohibitions
Measures counteracting the influence of the CCP
The strongest medical freedom protections in the nation.
Reforms reducing the costs of medications by delivering transparency
Bold higher education reforms; defunding DEI
Improvements to our state’s infrastructure
Tough-on-crime, law and order measures, including the death penalty for child rapists
The strongest measures protecting Florida from Biden’s border crisis
Reforms for paycheck protection , holding accountable wayward school unions
Prohibitions on centralized digital currencies in Florida
No leader has accomplished more for his state than Governor DeSantis. He is now sharing his bold vision with the country, leading a movement to deliver the Great American Comeback.
