Hi John — it’s Lexi! Adam’s smartest, funniest, most fashionable... and only daughter.
And while you might think of him as Congressman, Representative, or just Adam — to me, he’s dad. The guy who rode the spinning teacups with me over and over again at my request (insistence).
Or the guy who let me think the parade crowds were there to see me and only me.
Here’s the thing, John: after all these years, he hasn’t changed.
Not after he was elected to Congress.
Not after managing Trump’s impeachment and facing the right wing’s attacks.
Not now that he’s running for Senate — he’s just having the same conversations about our democracy, our ideals, and our values that we’ve had around the dinner table for the last 20 years.
He's a really great dad! (And now that he’s running a statewide campaign in California, I am sure he is STRESSING, even though he would never show it. He probably feels the weight of this comically-large rock on his shoulders).
Running for office is a big task. But it's always been clear to me why my dad does it. He wants to make a difference in as many lives as possible and make our country and world a better place to live in.
My dad’s campaign team told me this is where I plug the big fundraising deadline at midnight tonight, so here it goes: I would really really appreciate it if you could make a contribution to my dad’s campaign before midnight. Can you chip in?

Thanks for hearing me out, John! I’ll always take the chance to talk about why I’m so proud of my dad (and of course share some embarrassing pics of him — and cute ones of me).
xx Lexi
P.S. Someone (*my dad*) has a birthday coming up — and rest assured, I’m cooking up some big plans with my brother Eli.
