I know it's been a while since my last email, but I do hope you'll take a moment to read this one -- because it's important. I wanted to make sure you saw the news that I’ve endorsed my friend George Whitesides in the race for CA-27.


As you know, this race is critically important in our efforts to retake the U.S. House, and with the presidency on the ballot and higher turnout expected, 2024 represents our best shot at retaking this district.

George could not be better suited to represent our community.

He oversaw NASA under President Obama (where he was awarded the medal for distinguished service!), created hundreds of jobs here in the Antelope Valley while serving as CEO of Virgin Galactic, and co-founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the wildfires that devastate our community. Talk about an accomplished record!

It’s rare that we get a candidate with George’s experience, let alone one with such a proven track record of delivering for our district.

In 2020, President Biden carried this district by a wide margin. In fact, it’s one of the most Democratic House seats held by a Republican in the entire country. That’s a big reason why the Cook Political Report, a respected elections forecaster, designated this race as one of just 10 Republican-held toss-up contests nationwide.

Look, I know a thing or two about George’s Republican opponent, Mike Garcia. He’s a MAGA extremist -- complicit in the January 6th insurrection and a rubber stamp for the dangerous Trump/McCarthy agenda. He wants to get rid of the Affordable Care Act, enact an abortion ban with no exceptions, and is a puppet for the gun lobby in the wake of the gun violence epidemic.

He has no business being our representative.

George is the best candidate to take on Garcia and win this toss-up race, but he can’t do it alone. Can I count on you to chip in now to help him build the strongest campaign he possibly can?
