Who can beat Cory Gardner?
That’s what Democrats across the state are asking as Colorado prepares to elect its next senator. Our bet: a candidate who wants the job.
Nine candidates made that case at Regis University last night. The only no-show: John Hickenlooper.
Hick’s absence was no surprise. He told Coloradans he wasn’t cut out for the Senate, and he’s skipped 16 debates so far.
Only one candidate—on or off the stage—brings legislative experience to this race. Andrew Romanoff won four terms in the Colorado House, led Democrats to our first back-to-back majorities in more than 50 years, and earned bipartisan acclaim as one of the most effective legislative leaders in America.
But Andrew isn’t resting on his laurels. We’re building a broad, grassroots campaign—exactly the kind of campaign it will take to beat Cory Gardner.
Voters will have another opportunity to hear the Democratic candidates (other than Hickenlooper) this weekend.
Join us at Metro State University at 1 pm, Saturday, Feb. 15.
This is our best chance to flip a seat—and help flip the Senate—not just from red to blue, but from paralysis to progress.
Let’s replace Cory Gardner with a leader who knows how.
