Howdy John,
Last week, we launched The 546 Project, getting attention from press outlets across the state and scaring the heck out of MAGA extremists like Lauren Boebert. From Thursday to Monday, I traveled all across Western and Southern Colorado meeting with our county Democratic parties, local leaders and constituents to talk about The 546 Project.
The 546 Project is our 17-month initiative to build a year-round grassroots organizing and engagement infrastructure targeting Colorado’s 3rd District.
All in all, I covered more than 1,000 miles and made 13 stops. The trip involved more than 19 hours of driving (so I also made a lot of headway on my podcasts and audiobooks).

I want to share with you some of the highlights of what was an incredibly successful trip!
I actually started the trip in Colorado Springs with the El Paso Dems strategizing about how to flip El Paso county, and CD5, blue. From there, we headed back into CD3 for a late lunch with the Otero County Dems, and finished the day with drinks with the Pueblo County Dems and a tour of the Pueblo Chieftain printing presses.

The next day, I worked my way through the San Luis Valley visiting Democrats in Walsenburg, Alamosa, Pagosa Springs, and Durango. Saturday, I continued through Cortez and Ouray, then spent Sunday in Ridgway and Telluride, before concluding the tour on Monday in Montrose and Grand Junction.

Everywhere I went, I spoke to voters who want better leadership than Lauren Boebert and who believe we have what it takes to beat her in 2024. And they’re fired up to do it.
We know it will be an uphill battle. That’s why we are laying down the groundwork now, and it’s why I went out on the road to talk to voters in towns across the state about The 546 Project.
Will you join The 546 Project and contribute $5.46 today? This is the most impactful thing you can do right now. And we can’t defeat Boebert without you. [[link removed]]
Thanks,
Shad Murib
