John, we’re not surprised that Cori’s “Anti-woke means you’re anti-Black” speech has gone viral.
Rep. Bush nails racist, bigoted, white supremacist Republicans who are trying to redefine what woke really means with the facts, with experience and with passion.
Michael Brown’s murder at the hands of police woke Cori up. As an activist in the Ferguson Uprising, Cori also woke up to the realization that state and vigilante murder of Black people could be eradicated in our lifetimes if we work hard for it.
As Cori told her colleagues: "You should be on the side of folks who are woke, because we're saying no more oppression against our community... Don't let a fascist tell you what being woke means."
Please contribute $5 to support Cori in the fight against anti-Black Republicans who claim to be “anti-woke.”

Rep. Cori Bush made clear that the people who throw about the term “wokeness” as if it’s a threat have no idea what woke actually means and where it comes from.
It came from Black communities who have woken up to injustices, including uprisings in Ferguson and around the country against police murdering Black people.
Cori made the connection clear between saying you’re “anti-woke” and being anti-Black. Being against “wokeness” is being on the wrong side of history, against people who are speaking up and saying no more, we will not tolerate oppression against our communities.
As she said: “I'm from the very movement where this came about. Don't let a fascist tell you what being woke means.”
That’s right. Cori will not let fascists tell us what being woke means. Whether on the campaign, in committee, or on the floor of Congress, Cori is not afraid to take on anti-Black Republicans to their face and fight back. Join her and support this work with a contribution now.
