<p style="margin-bottom:1em;"><span>Tomorrow, the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee is scheduled to consider Senate Bill 422, legislation that would significantly increase the training requirements for obtaining a license to carry a firearm for self-defense. Having only recently repealed the Handgun Permit Review Board, SB 422 is proof that anti-gun lawmakers want to make it even harder for Maryland residents to obtain a carry permit. <strong>Please contact members of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee and ask them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 422.</strong></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:1em;"><span><a href="[link removed]" target="_blank"><span>Senate Bill 422</span></a></span><span> would require those who are obtaining, renewing or even possessing a Maryland carry permit to complete two new training classes on “situational awareness” and “competent handling of a firearm.” Further, each of these classes must be completed EVERY year that the permit is held. </span></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:1em;"><span>Anti-gun lawmakers are staging an all-out assault on your rights this year. SB 422 is another attempt to destroy the Second Amendment and our right to self-defense. <strong>Please Contact members of the Senate</strong> <strong>Judicial Proceedings Committee and ask them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 422.</strong></span></p>
