Friend,

Representative Mary Peltola is working hard for all Alaskans in Congress. We’re grateful for her work to create jobs, improve infrastructure, and protect our freedoms — and we’re proud to support her.

But in an effort to undermine Rep. Peltola, extremists in the Republican Party are criticizing Alaska’s ranked choice voting system.

Shortly after Rep. Peltola’s special election victory in August of last year, U.S. Senator from Arkansas Tom Cotton falsely claimed that ranked choice voting is a “scam.”

In actuality, ranked choice voting is a tool that makes elections fairer and more representative of the will of the electorate. And that’s exactly why it scares Tom Cotton. In Alaska, ranked choice voting helped us defeat extremist Sarah Palin, and that’s alarming to extremists everywhere.

Far-right governors are now pushing to outlaw ranked choice voting in their states. This year, South Dakota and Idaho straight up BANNED it. Our elections should reflect the will of the people — not the the will of politicians. Friend, will you help us set the record straight about ranked choice voting by making a contribution today?
