Hi John,
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has extended the deadline for public feedback on how the data broker industry collects and sells consumer information.1 Send a comment to the CFPB letting them know how these practices impact you.
Take Action
This is an opportunity to get the CFPB to protect consumers from data brokers’ abusive practices and limit how these corporations collect and use our personal data. Otherwise, companies like Acxiom and RELX, which many of us have never heard of, will continue to recklessly collect and share very personal information without a care for how they may endanger individuals and their communities.
With this extended deadline, we can get more comments to the CFPB but we have to act now to keep up the pressure. A month can fly by very quickly. We’ve built a unique comment submission tool that makes it easy for people to share their experiences about data brokers with the CFPB.
This is a critical moment in which public engagement can outweigh the industry. Join us in the fight. Send your comment to the CFPB now.
Thank you for taking action to stop data broker abuse,
Ese at ❤️ Fight
