John–

We're coming together tomorrow, June 16, to mark one year since Congress passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and to discuss what's next for our movement.

We'll be there alongside some incredible guests—and because we know not everyone can join us in person, we're livestreaming this exciting event! Will you join us?

Tune in tomorrow, Friday, June 16 at 9am ET to watch the Safer Communities Summit LIVE! Use #SaferCommunitiesSummit to be a part of the conversation.

Last June, our movement made history by getting Congress to pass the first major gun safety law in nearly 30 years. The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act strengthened our gun laws and made critical funding available to implement proven solutions. Breaking the logjam in Congress over the opposition of the gun lobby opens the door to the further action we need to end this crisis.

And in the year since President Biden signed this life-saving legislation, we have not slowed down. In communities across the country, we've been working—from city halls to statehouses to Congress—to make sure our lawmakers continue to act.

We're honored to be joining some amazing leaders tomorrow morning for the Safer Communities Summit. We'll be discussing the impact we've had, celebrating our accomplishments, and figuring out the road ahead as we work to prevent gun violence.

Here are just some of the people you can expect to hear from:

  • President Joe Biden
  • Gun sense champions like U.S. Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal, and U.S. Representative Lucy McBath
  • John Feinblatt, President of Everytown for Gun Safety
  • Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and other movement leaders
  • Everytown partner organizations
  • And many more!

We made history together—join us tomorrow morning to hear about the impact we’ve had, and what we can do next to continue saving lives. Watch the livestream at 9am ET, Friday, June 16 on our Facebook page or Twitter account.

Thank you for being a part of this movement, and we hope to see you there.
