Last week, congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer went back on her promises. In an interview, she claimed to oppose strengthening the Hyde Amendment, which would strengthen limits on federally-funded abortions.

You can use the phone numbers at the end of this email to tell Rep. Chavez-DeRemer that pro-life Oregonians support H. R. 7. She needs to hear the message loud and clear from constituents that federally-funded abortion is not acceptable.

In the past, Rep. Chavez-DeRemer has expressed her commitment and even voted to protect unborn children. It's disturbing that she would now decide to oppose strengthening the limits on government-funded abortion.

The Hyde Amendment is a long-standing limit on the federal government paying for abortions. But pro-abortion presidents have long violated the spirit of the law by finding ways to get around its requirements.

Now, pro-life representatives are seeking to strengthen the Hyde Amendment with H. R. 7 to ensure that pro-abortion administrations can't use taxpayer funds to end the lives of unborn humans. Rep. Chavez-DeRemer has indicated she opposes this bill.
