Jack, we need to have a conversation about how some mainstream news media outlets reported Trump's arrest for hoarding classified national security documents:

The day after his arraignment, the New York Times boosts Trump's presidential campaign with this frontpage free campaign ad:
-
The front-page picture doesn't show his dozen-car motorcade or the MAGA crowd or arrest or any of it, but instead shows Trump stepping down from his private flag-adorned plane as if he is some hero.
-
As for the headline, it's as if Trump wrote it himself. With words like "momentous" and "not guilty" just plays into the MAGA narrative that this is some big government conspiracy to take Trump down and Trump is standing his ground.
Meanwhile, I guess this should be expected from a news outlet that just had to pay hundreds of millions to settle a lawsuit for lying about the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. However, even for Fox News this chyron is shameless: "Wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after have his political rival arrested"
Jack, Daily Kos needs your help. Support from our readers and activists make up most of our income. And honestly; we prefer it this way because it makes us accountable to you—not to some billionaire or a corporation with their own agenda. We know that in order to keep operating, we have to fight for and deliver on what you believe in.
There couldn’t be a more important time to come together to fight, not only for the sustainability of Daily Kos, but for the endurance of the progressive ideals we stand for in the face of tangible threats to our democracy and our rights. Please support progressive news and activism by making a donation of $5 to Daily Kos today.
