We are updating state tax forms and filing systems to reflect changes made to Minnesota?s tax code during the legislative session that ended May 22.
A number of tax changes were enacted this year. Some may affect previous tax years or returns. At this time, you should not amend any Minnesota returns solely to account for these changes.
Today (June 15) we published updates about individual and business income taxes on our Tax Law Changes page [ [link removed] ]. We continue to analyze law changes for these and other taxes. Today?s updates include:
* One-time Direct Tax Rebate Payments for tax year 2021
* One-time increase and other changes to the Property Tax Refund
* New state Cannabis Tax
We will publish more information about the law changes and updated tax forms as they become available. We?ll continue to notify you through these Tax Law Change email updates.
