When Ilhan reached out this morning about our team's unofficial mid-month fundraising deadline, we honestly weren't sure where we were going to land… but so far today we've made incredible progress, and have a real chance of reaching our 1,000 grassroots contribution goal.

First it was Tom, a teacher in Minneapolis who chipped in $25.

Then a few seconds later, Kate in Buffalo, New York added $3 more, before Wendy, a nurse in Duluth, made a $50 contribution of their own.

We've been off to the races since — but we can't afford to slow down. Not yet. Not for a second. Because building the kind of campaign it's going to take to win next year is going to take a LOT of resources, and the only way we're funding this movement is together.

We know $3 doesn't seem like the kind of money that can make a difference, but please believe us when we say that when all of us — thousands of progressives and working people from all across the country — stand together, it all adds up fast.

But we've still got to keep our foot on the gas for a few more hours. So please:

The goals we set on this campaign are not arbitrary. They're what we need to raise to send Ilhan back to Congress and continue our movement's collective struggle for justice.
